Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

    PEOs 1: Graduates shall get employed in leading national or global industries or pursue advanced studies at esteemed institutions.

    PEOs 3: Graduates shall apply core scientific and analytical skills to innovate and solve real-world problems for societal advancement.

Program Outcomes

    1. Pharmacy Knowledge: Graduates will possess the basic knowledgeassociated with the profession of pharmacy, including biomedical sciences; pharmaceutical sciences; behavioral, social, and administrative pharmacy sciences; and manufacturing practices and would be able to handle drugs safely and ensure the rationale use of drugs.

    2. Planning Abilities: Graduates will demonstrate effective planning abilities to implement and organize work including good time management, resource management, delegation skills and organizational skills.

    3. Problem analysis: Graduates will have the abilityto find, analyze, evaluate and apply information systematically using the principles of scientific enquiry, thinking analytically, clearly and critically, while solving problems and shall make defensible decisions.

    4. Modern tool usage: Graduates will be equipped to handle current instruments, technologies and use the knowledge of mathematics and computers for drug analysis and drug research.

    5. Leadership skills: Graduates will have good managerial skills and entrepreneurship abilities. They shall assume participatory roles as responsible citizens or leadership roles when appropriate to facilitate improvement in health and well-being.

    6. Professional Identity: Graduates will have the abilityto understand, analyze and communicate the value of their professional roles in society (e.g. health care professionals, promoters of health, educators, managers, employers, employees) and the ability to resume responsibilities as a social worker and health care promoter.

    7. Pharmaceutical Ethics: Graduates will beawareofvarious regulatory, ethical and legal aspects of pharmacy profession. They should be able to honor personal values and apply ethical principles in professional and social contexts.

    8. Communication: Graduates will demonstrate the ability to orally communicate ideas and concepts clearly in an organized manner. They should be able to comprehend and write effective reports, make effective presentations and documentation, and give and receive clear instructions.

    9. The Pharmacist and society: Graduates should have the ability to apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal health, safety and legal issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional pharmacy practice.

    10. Environment and sustainability: Graduates will be aware of key environmental issues relevant to pharmacy practice and have the understanding about the impact of the professional pharmacy solutions in societal and environmental contexts (address key issues like Global warming, pollution and newer energysources), and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

    11. Life-long learning: Graduates should be able to recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change. Self-assess and use feedback effectively from others to identify learning needs and to satisfy these needs on an ongoing basis.
