A sprawling campus of about 40 acres has been meticulously planned in a number of functional building blocks separated by lush green lawns. The campus has been aesthetically designed in a pollution free zone to become a self contained academic township.


Within a short span of time, SDGI has assumed a credible position amongst most rapidly progressing professional education institutions of National Capital Region .Due to its excellent physical and IT infrastructure it has been centre for many prestigious examinations including CAT and has also been a centre for the UPTU counseling. The status of an integrated campus bas been recently accorded by AICTE and it has brought the group of Institutions closer to becoming a university in the near future.
We today reside in an increasingly smaller universe, characterized by stunning rates of change and remarkable diversity. SDCMT's global mission recognizes that we all are global participants. Corporate Resources Centre (CRC) at SDCMT assists students in making right career choice. Students seek guidance and get their queries resolved from the advisory board comprising some top corporate personnel. Several Industry Interface Programs including the Corporate Meet-2010 are organized where the students get a chance to revisit and hone the corporate skills.

The institute thus tries to develop leadership qualities through not only classroom teaching and learning but also equally importantly through participation in co-curricular activities. These activities provide opportunities for them to apply managerial concepts in real life situations.   • SDCMT provides Placement Assistance through its active Corporate Resource Center. The CRC has achieved good placement records over time. 1. NATIONAL CONFERENCE: Innovation: A Survival Mantra for Success


A National conference on "Innovation: A Survival Mantra for Success" was organized by Sunder Deep College of Management Technology, Ghaziabad on 26th March, 2011. The chief guest for the event was Dr. K K Agarwal, Former Vice-Chancellor IP University. The key note speakers were Mr. Ajoy Shah, DGM JK Tyres and Mr. SM Kaushik, DGM-PNB. Around 150 delegates across India participated in the conference. 80 papers in all were discussed on various streams on Innovationmca

. The conference provided a platform to various research scholars, academicians and professionals to come together and share their views.


2. Launch of INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL- The Great Management Guru

The First International Journal- The Great Management Guru of Sunder Deep College of Management Technology was also launched on 26th March, 2011.

3. Industrial Visit

Industrial visit to various brands like The Hindu, Maruti Suzuki, STAR NEWS, JubliantOrganosys was organized by Sunder Deep College of Management Technology The main objective of these visits are to make the students understand the practical aspects of the various sectors.



4.BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION- A BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION was organized by Sunder Deep College of Management & Technology on 9th March, 2011.The main objective of the competition was to give a better understanding to the students of how an enterprise works and how a new product is launched.


5.Guest Lectures: Guest lectures delivered by eminent academicians and professionals on current topics related to management are frequently organized by SDCMT. The topics range from Economic environment, Global Economic Meltdown, Stress Management to Marketing, Motivational spirits to get Success in Life, Skills most sought after by the employees etc. The main focus is laid on the interaction of the students with the professionals and industry experts.

6.CORPORATE MEET:The Corporate Meet was held on 23rd Oct, 2010 in Sunder Deep College of Management Technology. The topic of discussion was "Corporate Expectations from the freshers". The guest speakers were Mr. Amit Jaiswal- National head-VAS and New Alliances, Sify Technologies Ltd, Mr. Gaurabh Narula- Geographical Head-Sales, TataTele Services, Mr. Rahul Arora- Business Head-, Bajaj Capital, Mr. Kshitiz Randhir Shori-Director- Asia pacific Sales & Business, Jivox Corporation , Mr. K.K Singh- Head-HR, MKM Group , Mr. Rajeev Jha-PAN India-Head- Homex. The corporates discussed the expectations of the corporate industry from the freshers. The discussion was followed by queries wherein the students cleared their doubts on different issues.



7. CULTURAL EVENTS: Various cultural events were organized by the management students in the campus.mcaRangoli Competition, Ramayan Chaupai, Dandiya Garba Raas, to name a few, were organized on the occasion of NAVRATRI. The students participated with full enthusiasm and showed their creativity.







8. INAUGURATATION OF ENTREPRENEUR DEVELOPEMENT CELL AT SUNDER DEEP COLLEGE OF MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY ON 11TH Feb, 2012: Entrepreneurship Development Cell was inaugurated by A. Mishra, Additional Director of NIESBUD at Sunder Deep college of Management Technology. mca NIESBUD is an apex body under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise and Government of India. Mr. Amit Gupta, Vice-Chairman-SDGI, Dr. Balraj Singh-Director-SDCMT, all the directors of SDGI, faculty, staff and students were present to grace the occasion. The aim of Entrepreneurship Development Cell is to endow the new capabilities and capacities in our students and to encourage the students to take a step towards entrepreneurship.





9.PLACEMENTS 2012:  mca New Era Consulting visited the campus on 18th Feb, 2012 for Final Placements for MBA and PGDM students. New Era is one of the largest and leading organization involved in the business of End to End Staffing (with major focus on MIDDLE & TOP LEVEL EXECUTIVE SEARCH) from last 18+ years and serving to many Trans Multinational Organizations globally for their (Marjory) India, South East Asia, Western Europe and US needs. Three students got shortlisted for the final round.



10. THE MANAGEMENT QUIZ:
With the vision “Shaping new dynamic cormcaporate leaders” drive, our organization aims to promote academic and professional excellence in all of its endeavors and develop its members’ potentials to be able to mold them into socially responsible managers, contributing proficiently to their respective domains.
SDCMT Activity Cell organised another students event 'EMINENCE' the Managemet Quiz on Feb 25th at Seminar Hall, SDCMT.The event was organised by Prof. Monika Sharma and Prof. Nivedita Singh. The Quiz Master for the event was Prof. Nivedita Singh. There was active participation of more than 40 students in teams from MBA & PGDM. The presence of around 80-85 students as well as faculty members made it more lively & huge success. Team from PGDM – 3rd Sem bagged the first position followed by teams from MBA.
The said contest aims to promote scholastic excellence and competence through healthy and fair competition. All present in the event today witness a morning full of insight, talent & happy times.

Ordinances for Post Graduate Diploma in Management

1. Admission
Admissions for PGDM will be made as per the rules prescribed by the AICTE.

 

2. Eligibility for Admission is as follows:-

2.1 Eligibility      

A) Candidate should have passed Bachelor’s Degree programme of minimum three years’ duration in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
B) Candidate should have qualified in CAT/MAT/ATMA/XAT.
C) Those appearing in final examination can also apply but their selection will be conditional, subject to 2.1(A) above.

2.2
Based on Academic performance of candidates in (X, XII, and Graduation) & admission test, short listed candidates will be called for a Group Discussion & Personal Interview at the Institute for assessment of their Management Aptitude, Leadership Qualities, Personality, Communication Skills & General Knowledge.
2.3 For selection weightage will be given as follows:
10th & 12th Marks = 10 %, (5% each)

  1. Graduation Marks = 10%
  2. Entrance Test Marks (CAT/MAT/ATMA/XAT)= 50%
  3. GD =15%
  4. Personal Interview =15%

 

2.4 A merit list will be drawn on the above basis and duly notified. The candidates in the first list, drawn in order of merit will be requested to submit their fee within stipulated time, failing which, names of defaulters will be withdrawn from the merit list and the next candidates in the waiting list will get a call.
2.5 All relevant orders and rules of controlling Government agencies like AICTE & UGC will be strictly adhered.
2.6 The Academic Council shall meet atleast twice in every calendar year & update the course contents to be in time with the market requirements. They will also guide in proper grooming of faculty & students through FDP & industrial interaction, etc.



3. Attendance

 3.1 Every student is required to attend all the lectures, tutorials, practicals and other prescribed curricular and co-curricular activities. The attendance can be condoned by the director upto 25 % on medical or other genuine grounds beyond the control of the students.
 3.2 A further relaxation of attendance upto 15 % for a student can be given by the Director provided the student was absent with prior permission of   the Director for genuine reasons acceptable to the Director.
 3.3 No student will be allowed to appear in the end Trimester examination if he/she does not satisfy the overall average attendance requirements of clause Nos. 3.1, 3.2.
3.4 The attendance shall be counted from the date of admission in the college.

 

4.  Duration of Course & curriculum
4.1 Total duration of the PGDM Course shall be 2 years. Each year will comprise of three trimesters i.e. one year divided into three equal sessions of 4 months each.. Each session of the Trimester shall normally have teaching for the 80 working days or as prescribed by A.I.C.T.E. from time to time.

4.2 The 2 year curriculum shall include lectures, tutorials, practicals, seminars and projects etc. in addition to industrial training and educational tour, other curricular, co- curricular and extra-curricular activities as defined in the scheme of instructions and examinations and executive instructions issued by Institute from time to time.

4.3 The maximum time allowed for completing the full PGDM course shall be 4 (four) years. Failure to complete PGDM within 4 years will automatically result in withdrawal of the candidate from the course.

 

5.    Examination:
5.1 The performance of a student in each session of a Trimester shall be evaluated through continuous assessment and mid & end Trimester examinations. The continuous assessment shall be based on class tests, assignments/tutorials, quizzes/ viva-voce and attendance. The marks for continuous assessment (sessional grading) shall be awarded at the end of the Trimester. The end Trimester examination shall be conducted by means of written papers, viva-voce, inspection of certified course work in classes, project work, design reports or by means of any combination of these methods.
5.2 The distribution of marks for sessionals, end Trimester theory papers, and other examinations, comprehensive viva and project, shall be as per the prescribed scheme of examination and can be different for different subjects.
5.3 The maximum marks of a theory subject shall consist of grading allotted for end Trimester theory paper examination and Sessional work in the scheme of examination.
5.4 The minimum pass marks in each theory subject (including sesssional marks) shall be 50% but 40 % marks are essential in each theory paper in end Trimester examination. If there is no provision of sessional marks in any theory subjects, the minimum pass marks in that theory subject shall be 40% as required in end Trimester examination.

    1. The minimum pass marks in a comprehensive viva/project shall be 50%.
    2. A candidate, in order to pass must secure 50% marks in the aggregate of a particular academic year inclusive of all Trimesters of that academic year.

6.    Promotion:
6.1 A candidate satisfying all the requirements under clause 5 shall be promoted to the next academic year of study.
6.2(a) A candidate shall be eligible for provisional promotion to the next academic  year of study provided:

(1)He/she fails to satisfy the requirements of clause 5.4 and 5.5 should not be more than 3 theory/practical/project subjects on the basis of combined result of all Trimester examinations of a particular academic year.
(2) He/she fails to satisfy the requirements of clause 5.4 and 5.5 (theory and/or practical/project        subjects) should not be more than 4 theory/ practical/ project subjects in addition he/she fails to satisfy requirement of clause 5.6 (aggregate marks) in the combined result of all Trimester examinations of a particular academic year. In such a case aggregate marks shall be treated as one theory subject.

6.2(b) If a candidate satisfies the requirement of clauses 5.4 and 5.5 but fails to satisfy the requirement of clause 5.6, he/she shall be eligible for provisional promotion with carry over. He/she may choose maximum 3 theory papers of that particular academic year as per his/her choice for reexamination to pass the examination of that year.

6.3 All other candidates shall be declared fail and shall be required to repeat the whole academic year after taking re-admission or to opt for ex-studentship. This facility is, however, subject to the time limits stipulated in clause-4.

 

7    Carryover System:
7.1(a) A candidate who satisfies the requirements of clause 6.2(a) will be required  to appear in those theory papers/practicals in which he/she failed in subsequent examinations of the same Trimester.
7.1(b) A candidate satisfying clause 6.2(b) shall be required to exercise his/her -choice upto a maximum of 3 theory papers in which he/she desires to appear in the examination to fulfill the requirements of clause 5.6. He/she shall inform the college about his/her choice within 15 days after the new session begins.
7.2 The highest marks secured in any subject in various attempts (end Trimester and carryover examinations) shall be considered.

 

8 Ex-Studentship:
8.1 A candidate opting for ex-studentship shall be required to appear in all the theory/practical/viva subjects in the end Trimester examinations of all Trimesters of the same academic year. However, the sessional marks shall remain the same as those secured earlier.
8.2 A candidate opting for ex-studentship shall be required to apply in the college by paying only examination fee within 15 days from the start of new session.

9    Re- admission in the Institution/College:
A candidate may be allowed for re-admission provided he/she satisfies one of the following conditions:

    1. A candidate is declared fail.
    2. A candidate did not appear in a Trimester examination and/or he/she was granted permission for not to appear in the examination.
    3. A candidate has been detained by the institute and has also been permitted to take re-admission.
    4. A candidate as an ex-student passed the examination of the academic year or qualified for carryover system.
    5. A candidate promoted with carry over subjects and he/she opted for re-admission.

10. Results:
10.1 The result of a candidate shall be declared on the basis of performance of all Trimesters of the same academic year. However, a final year students, who is not permitted in any one of the final year Trimester examinations due to shortage of attendance, will be permitted in that particular Trimester of the next academic session to study as a regular student and appear in that Trimester examination.

10.2 Result of the final year shall be declared on the basis of working out Grand Total      by adding marks of all the years of study in the following ways:
I Year                          100% of aggregate marks
II Year                                    100% of aggregate marks

11. Award of Rank:
On the basis of final year result, the top 3 candidates shall be awarded rank according to their merit, provided they pass all the examinations in first attempt.

12. Grace Marks:
A candidate may be awarded grace marks upto a maximum of total 10 marks, in maximum four subjects but not more than three marks in any subject including theory papers, practicals, project, seminar, industrial training and/or aggregate marks in each academic year provided he/she can be declared to have passed the academic year by the award of these marks.

 

13. Scrutiny and Revaluation & Fees of Re-examination
13.1 Scrutiny shall be allowed in only theory papers as per the rule of the Institute.
13.2 Revaluation of theory/practical papers is not permitted.
13.3 Fees of Scrutiny/ Revaluation: Rs. 250/ per paper.
13.4 Fees of Reappear/ Back paper/ Medical cases: Rs. 500/ per paper.

 

14. Unfair means:
Case of unfair means shall be dealt as per the rules of the Institute and the U.P.Public                   Examination (Prevention of Unfair means) Act if any in prevalence.

 

15. Award of Sessional Marks:
15.1 Sessional marks for theory subject shall be awarded as per the provisions in the schemes of examinations. The break-up of sessional marks shall be as follows:
(1)        Class Tests                                                      50%
(2)        Teacher Assessment
Tutorial/Assignment                                        25%
Attendance                                                    25%

16. Cancellation of Admission:
The admission of a student at any stage of study shall be cancelled if:
(1)He/She is not found qualified as per AICTE/State Government norms and guidelines or the eligibility criteria prescribed by the University.
or
(2)He/She is found unable to complete the course within the stipulated time as prescribed in clause 4.2
or
(3)He/She is found involved in serious indisciplinary acts within the Institution/ College.

 

17. The Academic Council shall have the power to relax any provision provided in the ordinance in any specific matter/situation subject to the approval of Governing Council of the Institution & such decision(s) shall be reported by Director of the Institute to Academic Council  & Governing bodies.
