Campus Placement Drive 2016
SDCHM organized a series of off and on campus placement drives for its passing out BHMCT & BA-HM students in the year 2015. Hotels that provided job placement opportunities for our students include Hyatt Hotels, Park-Inn by Radisson, Crown Plaza, Barbeque Nations, Mosaic Hotel, Hyphen Hotel etc.
The mandatory six months industrial training for students of Sunderdeep College of Hotel Management ensures a berth for all its students in three stars to five star6 hotels. SDCHM organized a Guest Lecture for BHMCT students on the occasion of World Tourism Day on 27th September 2014. Tourism expert Mrs. Monika Aggarwal from Delhi delivered a lecture on “Tourism trends and Career Opportunities in the tourism sector.
Chef of the Year contests
SDCHM launched an annual event namely ‘Chef of the Year contest’ for its hotel management students on 20th October 2014. The contest judges the culinary skills of students in order to select Chef of the Year. Chef of the Year 2014 was Mr. Karan Rana from BHMCT 3rd Year and Ms. Himanshi Bhasker from BHMCT 2nd year won the title of Chef of the Year 2015.
Session on Wine Service
As a special academic activity, the BHMCT students are provided session on Wine Services as on 14th October 2015. Students are taught about opening of a wine bottle, using of right wine glasses, Wine Pouring and Wine Sniffing etc.
Session on Beer Service
Special Beverage Service Session focusing on Service of Beer was organized for BHMCT students with an aim to teach them hotel industry standard alcoholic beverages service procedures on 07th October 2015. Students learnt all aspects of beer service including the right beer pouring methods.
Blood Donation by Staff & Students
SDCHM students and faculty members donated blood in the blood donation camp held in SDGI campus.
