Co-Curricular Activities
Co-Curricular activities of SDGI provide the necessary impetus for all round growth of students while bringing out the hidden talents of the student to the fore. Different societies plan year round activities through an annual calendar.
Co- Curricular activities of SDGI bring out the hidden talents of the students to the fore. These activities provide a plate form to the exhibit their potential and excel extracurricular passion. Various activities are performed by various independent societies.
Induction Program 2008
The purpose of Induction program is to prepare students for their program of study and ensure a smooth transition into College life. Sunderdeep College organized the Induction Program for the incoming batch of PGDM 2008 2010.Renowned Speakers had come from different industries and backgrounds to motivate the students so that they can enthusiastically enter in to their professional lives.
The main Objectives of Induction Program
- To enable students to familiarize themselves with the College environment.
- To enable students to develop a sense of identity within the College community.
- To provide a comprehensive explanation of the College's Health & Safety requirements including evacuation procedure.
- To develop an awareness and understanding of the rights and responsibilities of both staff and students.
- To give clear information about methods of learning and assessment procedures.
SDGI Student exploring the forest inhabitants at Jim Corbett
SDGI arranged an outbound tour for the students of PGDM, MBA, and MCA to Jim Corbett National Park. The tour was a huge success as it was arranged with the objective of creating harmony, team building and cohesiveness within the students of the course. A sense of zeal and enthusiasm was observed after the students returned from the tour. Very soon, SDGI is all set for an International tour to Dubai to make the students understand the culture and customs of the outer world.
"SIIBS" A Live Project with Education Initiatives (NGO)
This project was conducted with 18 teams comprising of 3 students each, each team surveying one village. The main objective behind this project was to evaluate the education level and level of teacher training in the rural areas. Under this project , primary government schools were concentrated. The mental ability and IQ level of students was checked by conducting an exam for language and mathematics. The areas covered under this project are Manauli, Rahauli Kala , Dasna , Ghaziabad , Misalgadi , Mussorie , Murad Nagar.
Blood Donation Camp '2008' "Incorporating Social Responsibilities among students"
A blood donation camp was conducted by Rotary Club of Ghaziabad in SDGI Campus on 16 th September 2008. The event was a huge success with over 85 donations and saw an active participation from the students and the faculty alike. Mr. Mahendra Aggarwal , General Secretary , SDGI Ghaziabad inaugurated the event with the lighting of the lamp ceremony. The campaign involved a series o posters and banners which were put up all over the campus. Presentations and audio – video aids were also used to create awareness. The event started at 9:00 am in the morning and throughout the day there was huge crowd waiting eagerly to donate blood.
